Looking for a different and rewarding career in aged care? Have you thought about working in the community?
Australians have more CHOICES and flexibility to access help and stay in their own homes for longer…..
Many seniors, as well as their adult children who are helping them out, may not know that they can receive assistance towards home care services such as nursing, personal care, domestic help, home modification, grocery shopping, physiotherapy, social support and more….it is the era of consumer directed care and people are encouraged to become informed so they can make their own decisions around their care needs and stay at home for as long as possible.
Aged Care graduates need to look beyond only residential care facilities for job opportunities..if you have your own reliable car, police clearance, your Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/HACC/Disability) or Certificate IV in Ageing Support you may be eligible for a VAST array of job roles. Helen Green of Right at Home Care Services says she is currently looking for qualified professionals who “are competent, confident, can work autonomously and have her commitment to caring for people of all ages in their own homes…”
If you believe you have these skills and hold current qualifications you can access Right at Home’s website www.rightathome.com.au for further details and email your CV and qualifications to firstname.lastname@example.org.
